Creating Lasting Family Connections
The Creating Lasting Family Connections (https://copes.org/) program is an evidence based comprehensive family strengthening program that prevents substance use and violence. This program engages both parents and their children. Children learn refusal skills, how to communicate, and how to build a better connection with their family. Parents learn about drug and alcohol abuse, how to be a role model, how to develop family management skills, and how to connect to community services. Furthermore, participants develop resiliency, improve personal and family community, and strengthen conflict resolution skills.

Parents and children go through 3 modules each.
Parents go through: Raising Resilient Youth (RRY), Getting Real (GR), and Developing Positive Parental Influences (DPPI).
Children go through: Developing Independence and Responsibility (DIR), Getting Real (GR), and Developing a Positive Response (DPR). You can click on the links to learn more about the program modules.
